Terms of service – Equestrian pressing
These terms apply to the washing of horse items (rugs, saddle pads, boots and accessories) carried out by EQUIPIX. They contain rules common to everyone, followed by rules specific to private customers and to partners.
Article 1 – Service provider
Olivier DEFOORT, sole trader, trading as EQUIPIX
51 rue Pierre Schuetz
L-4946 Bascharage
Luxembourg
VAT: LU28263560. Contact: contact [at] equipix.fr · +352 20 40 20 79 50.
Article 2 – Who these terms apply to
- Private customer: anyone who hands their own items to EQUIPIX for personal use (consumer).
- Partner: any business (shop, riding centre, stable…) that entrusts EQUIPIX, through the pro area, with items dropped off by its own customers.
- Partner’s customer: the person who drops off items at a partner. Their contract is with the partner, at the partner’s prices and terms; EQUIPIX acts on the partner’s behalf.
Placing an order or creating a slip in the pro area means accepting these terms, in the version in force that day.
Part 1 – Common rules
Article 3 – Services
EQUIPIX washes items according to their type and care label. A pre-wash is added, and charged, when the item’s condition requires it (mud, manure, heavy stains). Please brush items before drop-off.
Article 4 – Refused items and forgotten objects
EQUIPIX may refuse an item that is mouldy, contaminated, too damaged to be washed or dangerous for its machines; it is then returned unwashed and free of charge. Pockets must be emptied: EQUIPIX is not responsible for objects left in the items.
Article 5 – Turnaround
Washing takes about 2 weeks from the day EQUIPIX receives the items. This is indicative and may be longer at busy times. A delay does not give a right to compensation, unless EQUIPIX is proven at fault.
Article 6 – Liability
Items are counted and inspected in EQUIPIX’s workshop, when the bags are opened. This count is authoritative: EQUIPIX is only responsible for the items counted at that time. A missing item or a defect found on opening is reported straight away.
EQUIPIX takes every care of the items entrusted to it and follows their care label. It cannot be held liable for:
- normal wear of the item;
- holes, tears, seams, straps or fastenings (Velcro, buckles, clips) that give way during washing: washing does not tear an item in good condition, such damage reveals its wear or fragility;
- defects already present at drop-off;
- stains that do not come out in the wash;
- shrinkage or fading due to the fabric, or to a missing or inaccurate care label.
If an item counted when the bags were opened is lost, or if an item is damaged through EQUIPIX’s fault (for example washing contrary to the care label), compensation is the item’s replacement value, less wear, on proof (purchase invoice, photo…).
Any complaint must be made on return, or at the latest 48 hours afterwards, with photos of the item, to contact [at] equipix.fr.
Part 2 – Private customers
Article 7 – Prices
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes, on the Prices page. The price applied is the one in force on the day of drop-off.
Article 8 – Drop-off, pick-up and delivery
Items are dropped off at EQUIPIX in Bascharage, or picked up as agreed. For orders from €180 incl. VAT, pick-up and delivery are free up to 25 km by road from Bascharage; for longer distances or smaller orders, a personalised quote is provided.
Article 9 – Payment
Payment is due when the items are returned, by bank transfer or in cash.
Article 10 – Storage of items
Once EQUIPIX lets you know your items are ready, you have 1 month to collect them. After this period, storage fees of €10 per month or part of a month may be charged.
If the items are still not collected 6 months after the notice, and after a written reminder (email, text message or letter) left unanswered for 30 days, EQUIPIX may dispose of them (donation to a charity or destruction).
Article 11 – Right of withdrawal
When the contract is concluded at a distance or off-premises (for example during a pick-up at your home), you have 14 days to withdraw, without giving a reason, by writing to contact [at] equipix.fr. If you expressly ask for washing to start before the end of this period, you must pay for the part already done; once washing is fully completed, the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised.
This right does not apply when you drop off your items yourself at EQUIPIX.
Article 12 – Complaints and mediation
For any complaint, write to contact [at] equipix.fr. If no amicable solution is found, you may use the consumer mediator free of charge:
Service national du Médiateur de la consommation (Luxembourg consumer mediator)
6 rue du Palais de Justice

Part 3 – Partners
Article 13 – Drop-off slips
The partner creates a drop-off slip in the pro area for each drop-off: customer, items, quantities, and items with holes or tears. EQUIPIX collects the bags closed, without opening or counting them on site; the items are counted when the bags are opened, in EQUIPIX’s workshop (Article 6). If there is a difference with the slip, EQUIPIX reports it to the partner in the pro area, and the quantities counted by EQUIPIX are used for the invoice. A defect not declared on the slip and found on opening is reported to the partner before washing.
Article 14 – Prices
The partner pays the EQUIPIX price list in force on the day of drop-off, less the agreed partner discount; both are shown in the pro area. The partner freely sets the prices it charges its own customers.
Article 15 – Invoicing and payment
EQUIPIX issues an invoice for each returned slip. It is payable on receipt, by bank transfer.
In the event of late payment, late-payment interest is due automatically at the rate set by the Luxembourg law of 18 April 2004 on payment terms (European Central Bank rate plus 8 points), together with a fixed compensation of €40 for recovery costs.
Article 16 – Relationship with the partner’s customers
The partner is the sole point of contact for its customers: it sets its prices and storage terms, and handles their complaints. It forwards to EQUIPIX any complaint about the washing within 48 hours of the items being returned to its customer.
Article 17 – Liability towards the partner
Article 6 applies. EQUIPIX is not liable for the partner’s indirect losses (loss of turnover, customers…), except in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Final provisions
Article 18 – Personal data
See the privacy policy.
Article 19 – Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Failing an amicable agreement, the courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg have jurisdiction. A private customer keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
